Apple Watch stand setting not working

I bought a new apple watch and the stand setting doesn’t show movement. Genius Bar couldn't fix. I returned it. Friend gave me an apple watch first gen. Same thing. The move goal and activity goal work but not stand. ??

Apple Watch "Stand" Activity Malfunctioning I purchased an Apple Watch SE a few days ago and the "Stand" activity seems to be glitched. It displays that I spend most of my day standing, though truly I spend basically all of my day sitting at my desk. The watch is running the latest os update and I made sure that all my health information is up to date. Is it a calibration issue? Or should I bring it to an Apple store to get it checked? Check if in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone "Stand Reminders" are activated.

You can find this setting in My Watch under Activities.
