Photos Imported wont show in Photos feed

I am facing an issue recently, and that is on my MacbookPro (Mojavi) iMac, MacPro (High Sierra). When I upload pictures from Nikon Z 7 or Sony RX100 on either machine, they show in Imports in my Photos, but they don't make it to the feed when clicking on Photos, Moments, Collections or years. They are still in imports, and I can create a folder with them where they will be, but the Photos won't show in Photos under any option.

I can see that my iPhone X (latest OSX) showing in the feed as soon as taken on all devices including imports on either computer. As well the Photos on iPhone X showing the correct order of photos including imports.

I have tried to repair the Photos libraries but did not affect.

Anybody.....

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

Thank you for getting back to me. The ctrl-click comm worked and I found the pictures I took the other day burriedd in February 2018.

Issue is that photos does not like the FILE name being duplicated. As I got a new Nikon camera all names that I already have in library start coming again creating some type of issue. I went to my camera and created a new name for all new photos so instead DSC0008 it is something else now D070008 and that is letting the pictures to the Photos stream in the correct time and date. For some files I had 7 of the same name so no wonder it was causing issue.

Thank you again

This is strange. In my library are plenty of duplicate filenames for different photos, without any issue. As long as other file attributes, like the dates, or the file size are different and the files are not exact duplicates, Photos should be able to recognize them as different files. For example, most photos taken with my iPad are having the same filename as photos taken with my iPhone, my older Lumix DMC-FZ28 used the same filenames as my Lumix-DMC-FZ300.

Nevertheless, it is not a bad idea to rename the image files to something meaningful to you. For many of my shooting sessions append a suffix to the filename, so I can tell by the filename where the photo has been taken. For example, a photo taken during a vacation in Alaska in 1013 might be called P1280130_2013_Alaska_Luminar.heic. This tells me, when and where the photo has been taken, and that I edited it with Luminar.
