Error message

When attempting to go to various urls I get a "570 User Identification Failed".
I've gotten the message using both Firefox and AOL. Anybody have ideas as to what to do?

A little more details: I'm running a small home network via a "Snow" AirPort. A G-4 Desktop is connect directly to the AirPort and two iBooks are connected wirelessly with AirPort cards. It's only on the older G-3 iBook where these problems are occurring - no problems at all on the other two machines. Only have a free AOL account for the e-mail, so I'm locked out of AOL Tech Support (can't say that they ever solved a problem in the past when I was paying, though, and it's doubtful they could shed any light on this one).

Not familiar with vBulletin, so I don't know what to say there.

Cookies - could be the culprit. Have not eliminated any of them yet.

Norton has never been installed on any of these three computers.

You pick it. I get the error message on almost any website using AOL - Amazon.com, Apple.com, IMDb.com they all fail to load at times. Usually and switch of screen names will temporarily stop the error, but they come again and then you have to switch back.

Today, I totally uninstalled AOL and all its pref files, etc and still the problem persists. What a pain.

Getting the same error 570 Forbidden user identification failed try refreshing or closing and re opening. This started happening just recently, basically right after the free 90 day tech support expired. Apple does not have erro 570 in its knowledge base. I guess the guy prgramming the erro messages must have forgotten to write this one down. Any help would be great. Happpens on Safari and AOL whenever attempting to make a purchase from the specific page on the site that is for order information.

You say you only have AOL for the free email.
1) Do you dial up the internet, or are you on highspeed?
2) Are you running AOL software when you're getting these errors? If so, why?
2a) Are you ONLY getting these errors when running AOL software?
3) Why not just hit AOL.com with Safari, log in and get your AOL-mail?
4) AOL software has been known to be more work than it's worth...even when it's free.
5) You say "uninstalled AOL and all its pref files"...and then what...you reinstalled it?!?
