Text messages have stopped displaying on my 2016 Mazda CX5 screen, and I do not have Apple Carplay.

Apple CarPlay will not notify me of incoming text messages No resolution on my other post, so thought I would post yet again. I have a 2019 Volvo S60. Apple CarPlay has never announced incoming messages. I thought maybe it was just the car, so I tried in our 2019 Audi Q5, but it doesn’t announce in there either. I have enabled Notifications > Siri > Announce Notifications: Announce Notifications is enabled, Announce When Connected To CarPlay Messages is enabled, When CarPlay Starts - Announce New Messages is enabled. Scheduled Summary is disabled. Focus > Do Not Disturb is disabled. It’s not making sense, and it isn’t just my car since I have tried both cars. My iPhone 12 Pro is running iOS 15.6 - up to date. I would greatly appreciate some assistance. I drive A-LOT so it would be much more convenient if it announces my text messages. Thank you.

Inconsistent Text behavior in CarPlay OS 15.4.1 iPhone 12 Pro 2017 Audi A4, USB connection Ever since the latest update, I have seen weird and inconsistent behaviors in the Carplay txt app -- the Audi (and several other vehicles) uses a wheel/click input -- like BMW's idrive and so on, and the ability to send/reply/change by clicking the wheel on the appropriate button often doesn't work. The UI outline element is missing when this happens -- and I can still use voice prompts, but plainly something has changed/broken. At first I thought it was Groups or iMessage related (mixed SMS/Android users for instance) But after a month or so of experiments, it happens to any and all text messages regardless of who's in them. I've also seen some weird instances of apps launching/unlaunching and autoplay oddness.

Apple CarPlay When messages are received on the car’s screen, they come up at the bottom of the screen. It’s ok if sound is on on my phone as that alerts me. If there is no sound, I have to see it out of the corner of my eye. This was ok when the message showed across the top of the car screen. Now that it flashes at the bottom of the screen I don’t see it. is it possible to change this option or can Apple change it back to the top of the screen? I can’t find a feedback option to let them know

You may want to go through the re-pairing process for your system. If that doesn't help, see if the manufacturer has an update to the firmware.
