Updating Payment Information

I tried to update my payment information on my iTunes account. I get an error code saying to contact iTunes support. I also tried updating my payment information on AppleID. Have the same problem.

Can't update iTunes payment method We are trying to update our iTunes account with a new credit card and it won't accept. Details are correct and are the same as the bank details so I don't know why it won't accept it. The error that comes up on the screen is "Payment information cannot be updated, for assistance contact iTunes support". I have followed all the instructions on the apple support site with no luck. Can anyone help please
