usb device not recognized

I've plugged my iPhone 6 into several devices and all of them cannot recognize the phone. Worst of all: it'll only charge from an outlet and never a laptop, etc.

I've hard reset the phone. Tried multiple cables. It's fully updated.

I've actually been having this problem for a long time now (months). I have no other issues though. The phone was purchased new for the Verizon network about 8 months ago.

So, it's not a problem with the laptops, car USBs, etc; it's not a cable issue... so it must be an iPhone problem.

Thoughts??
