Why can’t I place calls except via Bluetooth?

I have an IPhone 7, running the latest update 12.1. Now I cannot place or receive calls except via Bluetooth

This happened on my cousin’s iPhone 7.

The teeth inside of the lightning jack that the headphone jack make contact, were our broken/bent. It makes the phone think that headphones are connected. It cant find them. the Bluetooth is literally overriding the headphone. Unfortunately, she had to replace her phone.

I would suggest bringing the phone to Apple and let them look at it.
