Screen Cracked - Do I have to have AppleCare?

I have a iPhone that has a cracked screen. I want to know if Apple will repair a phone that doesn't have Apple Care? I looked at their website and they provided prices, I just don't know if that is for Apple Care customers only.. or do they charge more for customers with no insurance. Can anyone help?

iPhone 6s, iOS 12.1

Cracked screens aren't covered anyway. Warranties are for manufacturing flaws, not user caused damage.

If you had AppleCare+, then there's a flat $29 fee to replace the screen (twice, I think?). Otherwise, you have to pay the going rate.

You also can't purchase the coverage after the fact and get the lower rate.
