I Tunes

I have back up my ITunes library to an external HDD from my old laptop & now would like to place it back into ITunes on a new laptop from the HDD is that possible as I have downloaded ITunes onto the new laptop. If it is how do I go about doing it.

See Move your iTunes library to a new computer. Typically all you need to do is copy the backup folder that you have on the external drive into your current user's Music folder. If you've already installed and run iTunes on the computer there might be an empty iTunes library in the media folder. Rename this as say iTunes (Empty) or simply delete it, then paste in the iTunes folder from the external drive.
