How do I disable sharing photos with expiring links in text messaging?

iOS 12 has now forced me to share photos as a link if I attach more than 3 photos. How do I turn this feature off? This is one of the worst features Apple has ever provided. I don't want to be forced into a situation. I want a choice. Not everyone has a limited data plan.

It's not the quantity of photos, it's the physical size of the attached items (whatever they are). The logic behind the decision is that a large quantity of photos (or other large files) could cause a backlog at the recipient's end, especially if they have slow Internet rates. Your message (with many photos) would temporarily prevent other messages from arriving. Apple email works the same way.

The recipients are alerted to that fact. If they wish to keep the photos, all that they need do is download them within thirty days.

Those instructions are for stopping the sharing of a link that has already been shared. I am looking to have the photos sent out as photos in a text message instead of a link to the photos in iCloud. The link to photos in iCloud expires in 30 days. I want the photos to stay in the message for ever or until the recipient deletes the message.
