I assume you have found the Audacity Import command at File > Import > Audio... Navigate to the audio file and import it.
Native Audacity can import certain formats, but AAC, the usual favorite of iTunes for Mac users, isn't one of them. If you are trying to use AAC, you need to install the FFMPEG files into Audacity:

Apple Music files or any DRM-protected files cannot be used in Audacity.

Thanks very much for the reply.
I have downloaded but still can't access my iTunes files.
Zafinsc,
Either of these two ways will get to the audio file:
Put your playlist in Songs view. Right-click the track name, and choose Show in Finder. This will take you to the folder where the file resides.
--or--
Highlight the track in iTunes and drag it to the desktop. This will make a new copy on the desktop without disturbing the one in the library.
Thanks very much for the reply.
