Correcting a voice to text spelling

I’ve had issues with voice to text misspelling my sons name (using miles instead of Myles) I’ve found a remedy. I added my son as a contact with the correct spelling. I went in to edit the contact, scrolled down to the “add field” and selected that. Then I added the field “pronunciation first name” and used the voice to text option and said his name. Then I saved the contact. It has fixed the misspelling of his name!! Yay!!

Dictation errors My dictation was working perfectly until about 2 or 3 iOS upgrades ago. I’m having problems with dictation not capitalizing the first word of a sentence or paragraph, and it consistently puts a period behind my surname. The quality of the spelling is considerably worse as well. If there was an error, I used to be able to highlight the word and replace it with a capitalized version or a corrected spelling version and that no longer happens. The choices for the replacement word, especially with capitalization do not appear. when I say I, it types are. When I say has, it types Hass. (See there is no capitalization at the beginning of this paragraph). sometimes after I correct the capitalization error, it will revert to the incorrect uncapitalized word. see there is no capitalization at the beginning of this nor the last sentence either. I turned off Siri and turned it on again. I think it is a bit better but it’s not consistently better. I pretty much dictate everything whenever possible, and I love it. It has become quite cumbersome because of all the corrections I now have to do. any ideas? Is there a Dictionary that my dictation access is that I need to reinstall?? (The beginning of this paragraph was capitalized and then it took away the capitalization of the word any). Thank you for your responses.

Changing name pronunciation on siri How do I change name pronunciation even when siri has been sending me to contact app instead of all the inputs I’ve been saying like hey siri learn to pronounce this name and it will keep saying you can change the pronunciation on the contacts app no matter how much I add the pronunciation name correctly

Train Siri to spell a word differently? (Dictation) Some months back (maybe in iOS 15?), Siri started spelling “something” as “some thing.” (I even had to correct it right here, as I’m dictating now, and I definitely didn’t say it as two words – I intentionally said the first version as fast as I could.) Is there a trick to retrain her to spell it correctly? I know there’s a trick for proper names, but what about words in general?
