Can you Group FaceTime with an iPhone 7?

When I try to Group FaceTime my friends it always say waiting. Does my phone not allow It?

Yes you can group FaceTime with and iPhone 7 but the people you are attempting to do so with must have an iPhone 6s or later and must be running iOS 12.1
