JDK popup on Mojave

After installing Mojave (using 10.14) , a popup appears: "To use the java command-line tool you need to install a JDK" and provides a link to the Java Developer Kit website. I had the same problem with El Capitan but found a link in Apple support that successfully got rid of it, but can no longer locate. Can anyone help?

I seem to remember having the same issue when I upgraded to Lion. There was a fix for this I just cant remember what I did. Any help would be great. Thanks

JDK pop ups on going How do get rid of the pop up for Java developer? I do not use Java, Oracle or Adobe for work and as far as I can tell I have no applications running on High Sierra OS that use this.

I found the info on the following link - to get rid of a Facebook plist - worked for me. No more java jdk popups in Mojave 10.14.1

Thanks for that - I simply installed the latest version of Java and it has fixed the problem - haven't had any further instances since November 3.

I have no idea if this works in Mojave: Download Java for OS X 2017-001

Or, you could uninstall the crappy software that requires Apple's decade old Java implementation.
