Spotlight search no longer available.

Spotlight search no longer available on High Sierra 10.13.6 even after following Apple's link on how to repair. Are there other suggestions?

MacBook Pro, iOS 7.0.5, Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Solved: System Preferences/Keyboard/Shortcuts/Show Spotlight search __ was not "checked off". :-)

In every release of High Sierra through 10.13.6 (17G3025), the Spotlight Shortcuts on my Mac have been enabled by default. Wonder how yours became deselected.
