Run MacOS classic 9.2

Hello everybody!

I used to use System software 1-7 and macOS 8 and 9 back in the day and I want to run it on my intel based Mac that’s running Mojave. However, I read on another thread that the classic environment isn’t supported on intel macs.

So I heard of this thing called sheepshaver but it didn’t work and I couldn't get a proper emulator. Any suggestions for a proper emulator or a driver or something to be able to run macOS 9.2 on my Mac?

thanks,

Jack

I think unless you are a real geek and can make Sheepshaver work you may be better off trying to find an old Mac that still works. All you have to do is go back to G4/G5 days and find something that will still run (and has installed) Tiger OSX and also has Classic installed. It wouldn't surprise me if the Sheepshaver people hadn't yet solved issues with Mojave, if they ever can. You are really working against Apple's system here of only run the latest and greatest and you are close to 13 years since any kind of support for Classic was dropped by Apple.
