Unless your screen had a manufacturer's defect (only Apple specialists at an Apple Store can judge), your warranty doesn't cover accident events. You'll pay a "nominal" amount of money if you have AppleCare+.
Just to give you an idea, these are the prices in US, taxes excluded:
