hi. i'm having the following problem. the green/orange light on the power cord suddenly disappears, and the macbook switches to the battery mode. this happens while other pieces of my gear connected to the same extension lead keep working, and the light on the extension lead itself is on. which means there IS power, but for some reason it occasionally "abandons" the computer's power cord. any explanation to this, please?

Hi Aram Rian: I think the first step in troubleshooting this issue would be to NOT use an extension cord. Most extension cords are notoriously flaky. Just because the cord powers your other equipment, doesn't nesecarrily mean all outlets will work.
me 2, i tried to plug it into the wall but it didn't help, nor did unplugging it for 10 seconds that didn't work either. there is another thread about this check that one too, see if anyone has any ideas!
now-my--magsafe thing-is-getting hot,---much hotter-than-normal! i-might--have-to---take it in------battery---low! Shatner out. In case you didnt get that, that was if William shatner was telling you my problem! (i am bored, help)
