MY WIRELESS MOUSE IS NOT CONNECTING

My iMac mouse is not connecting I started the computer so I can't put in my password and I can't get to preferences on my iMac because I need the mouse to put in the password.

iMac, iOS 12.1

Try resetting the SMC (no peripherals required).
