I have a MacBook Pro. My menu bar occupies half my screen. I have two apps that have extensive menus which overlay the left side of my menu bar. Is that normal behavior? I thought there used to be a greater than sign which when clicked on would reveal the hidden portion of the menu bar. Thanks.

Actually I don't think there's much you can do except contact the vendors of the offending apps or use something like Bartender 3 which allows you to organize the menu items on the right.

Actually I wouldn't consider it an Apple issue. I would say the apps in question have too many menus. But, either or I suppose. I don't have the problem with any of my Macs or apps.
Too many menus then Apple should not allow more than X menus.
