Can’t delete recent phone calls on Apple Watch 4

I can’t delete my recent phone calls on my Apple Watch series 4. I deleted them on my iPhone, but they were not removed from my watch. I deleted them both individually and as a clear all. I recently updated to 5.01, so I am not sure if that is the problem or not. Apple supports answer was to try and un-pair the watch and re-pair. I don’t want to do that and lose data.

I realize there is no way to delete the recents on my watch. I have the settings set to mirror my iPhone so I am not sure what is going on.

Apple Watch Series 4, watchOS 5.0.1

I had the same problem, I had to unpair then pair and now it’s working fine .. don’t worry about lost of data after you pair it again while setting it up you will be asked if you want to restore from back or set up as new—- FYI WHEN YOU UNPAIR MAKE SURE YOU SELECT “KEEP CELLULAR PLAN”. ...

When I unpaired and re-paired I suddenly had 2 Apple watches show upon my iPhone as my devices.

I updated to 5.1 and my recent phone calls are still there.

I called Apple support and they don’t have a fix.

Sorry, it was a typo on my part, I understand that you were seeing two watches. I am not aware of any other settings on the watch or phone dealing with deleting recent calls. I just tested mine again with calls from the last couple of days and when I am looking at Recents on the watch, I cleared my phone and it cleared the watch right away. If no one else can come up with anything, you may have to contact Apple Support again. I would hate to have you attempt to restore the devices and set them up as new again, since that is quite a daunting task. Sorry I cannot help any further, but the un-pairing and the re-pairing should have worked.

Un-pairing the Apple Watch creates a backup that you can restore it. I just tested this on my iPhone Xs and Series 3 watch, and even looking at the Recents on the Apple Watch, I cleared them from the phone and they disappeared on the watch before my eyes. You can try doing a reset on the Watch if you wish, hold the Digital Crown and the side button together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the Watch restarts, check your Recents on the Watch and see if they are gone.

This is unrelated to my recent phone call deletion, but I was not seeing 2 phones but rather 2 watches after the re-pairing., this is a problem sometimes as noted in other forums. I did finally get a workaround by someone on the forum.

I still cannot delete my recent phone calls made on my iPhone, but listed on my watch. I am looking for a solution to delete them that does not involve re-pairing. It is a minor inconvenience but one I would like to see resolved.

I have tried a reset and it didn't work. I had a bad experience un-pairing and re-pairing and don't really want to take a chance. Which version of OS are your running on your watch, 5.0 or 5.1?
