Depending on what the product is you are seeking; be it one to replace the same one,
then you'd be hoping to find a classic vintage obsolete model that may not have valid
replacement clock/PRAM battery; plus a system battery; and uses PATA/IDE hard drive.
For newer models with way different details, you could start looking at Apple store online:
Do you have and expect to continue use of older vintage software? How about peripheral
products such as printers, and other products of a certain era? Those won't carry forward.
Some like the one you've listed by model series may be available from vendors, such as

Seems to be a valid source of working G4 PowerBooks at retail price, if you so desire.
And some resellers offer older goods may list their wares via an amazon store, an example:

and has Ultimate Used Mac Buying Guide
A replacement for an older Mac portable could be an 'early Intel' version 2006-2010 MacBook;
or later MacBook/Pro, or perhaps MacBook/Air, and so on. ~ Apple offers more recent official
refurbished models at less than original retail, with guarantee from their main apple.com site.
'Previously-owned' ones that require re-installation of full systems from the internet, have no DVD
media for their software. So it is kinda difficult to exactly answer a vague question across decades
of Apple product development. {Of those online, refurbished Mac direct from Apple, Inc. offer good
guarantee with an option to buy extended AppleCare plan, for up to three years coverage.}
Others generally are found in searches worded according to detail, for more or less precise results:

Thanks for your reply. I spoke to Apple and they told me it’s equivalent today is the 15’ MacBook Pro, I remember paying over $3k 8 years ago, so I wasn’t surprised to see it’s now it’s almost $6k. Sorry for any confusion, I just needed to have an equivalent replacement because mine was stolen.
