We have one Apple ID with two iPhones. How can we get two separate iCloud?

One iPhone is a 6s the other is an 8. At this point it’s just our pictures that are being shared

Don't share an Apple ID. It only causes problems.

Make a new ID for one of the devices.

A bit of a semantics issue here. If both of those iPhones are for the exclusive use of ONE PERSON, then a single Apple ID is absolutely the correct way to go. Kirk's response is correct IF the two phones are used by different persons.

The principle that you should keep in mind is that ONE Apple ID = ONE human being. I am ONE human being. However, I have an iPhone, an iPad and a logon on two computers (iMac and MBP). Consequently, my ID is shared among four devices but all reflect ONE AND ONLY ONE human being (me)
