My right headphone is quieter than my left

I got a new iPhone only last week; and I have used my headphones only a handful of times. Now all of a sudden; the right earbud is substantially more quiet than the left one. As these headphones are basically brand new; I cannot figure out why all of a sudden one decided to not work properly. They haven’t been mishandled and I haven’t been rough with them. There is no reason for these headphones to be faulty already. Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening or what I can do to fix it?

1. Try cleaning them (ear wax will significantly reduce output).

2. Check Settings > General > Accessibility and make sure the balance is centered.
