I've just returned to Ireland after spending the last six months in Los Angeles.
While I was there I bought a 2010 Apple Mac Pro tower for work purposes.
I brought the computer back home with me and am currently trying to determine whether or not I need some sort of voltage converter to use it in Ireland where the voltage is 230v.

Hi Max! The 2010 Mac Pro can accept either 120v or 240v, as stated here, so you should be just fine without any converter.
Here is an excerpt from the page:
"Electrical and operating requirements
Line voltage: 100-120V AC or 200-240V AC (wide-range power supply input voltage)
Frequency: 50Hz to 60Hz single phase"

No Transformer or other Voltage converter required, and no switch to throw.
Those and most Macs are self-adapting for 50 or 60 Hz, and nominal 120 or 200 to 240 Voltage.
You just need a local wall power plug or cord.

This is just a confirmation message that after plugging in my Mac Pro 2010 everything worked perfectly and it did not explode.
