Apple Pay not physically working in store why?

My iPhone 6s Apple Pay use to work over an year ago, been trying to get it to physically work because as of now I can only use it online and ok the phone but not at an actual merchant. Sorry but Apple has not much help nor kind in regards to my issue. There solution is to always get a new phone, which I will be doing very very soon but I want and need this issue fixed.
