Cinema HD Display does not turn on

My Cinema HD Display does not turn on. The light does not turn on and I do not see any image on the screen.

BUT when I connect the monitor to my macbook pro and I go into my displays setting, I am able to see that the monitor. Also, I can drag windows from my macbook to the cinema display. It seems to know there's a second monitor connected, but I just cannot see any image on it.

I also attempted to see if the USB ports behind the monitor work. They do not work.

Side note: I started with testing the monitor with a functional power adapter. Does not work. But that is not the issue since my macbook can connect to the monitor.
