Hey there, solarpv,

I see that you're having trouble adding a card to Wallet on your iPod touch, but haven't gotten any help just yet. If you could answer a few questions, it may help others in the Apple Support Communities get you to a solution:
  1. What store card are you trying to add? For example, is it an iTunes Store gift card, or a gift card to a different store? Or, is it a store-issued credit card?
  2. When you follow the steps to add the card, does it get added successfully? If so, what do you see? If not, what do you see?
Cheers!

Alex,

Thanks for your reply. I want to put the cards we get from stores that give us sale prices, etc. e.g. from grocery stores, into Wallet. When I open Wallet app it gives me an option to Scan Code or Find Apps for Wallet. When I click Scan Code, my camera opens. I took pictures of the bar codes of each card, but then there's no prompt to put them in the wallet. So that's where I'm stuck. It's not that big a deal, but I thought the whole point of having this device was that I wouldn't have to pull out cards for each store every time I shop there.

Starr.C, I found apps for Stop &Shop and Shop Rite and set up my cards on their apps, but I still don't see a way or a need to put them in wallet. I'm really not sure what use Wallet really has. When I open it, it only offers the 2 options mentioned earlier, and I said before, pressing "scan code" only opens camera and doesn't allow a way to put the picture into wallet. Unless you or others here can id. a compelling reason to keep it, I think I'll just delete the app. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for answering those questions, solarpv!

While the Wallet app supports adding store cards, like a loyalty/savings card from a grocery store, not all stores support Wallet. Additionally, a store may accept Apple Pay for transaction payments, but not support adding their store cards to the Wallet app. To find out if your card should work with Wallet, you'll want to reach out to the store that issued it. More information can be found in Use Wallet on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support , including the following:

If you don't see the option to add a card, ticket, or other service to Wallet, contact the merchant to make sure that they support Wallet passes.

You may need to tap Add to Apple Wallet and then tap Add in the upper right corner of the pass. Or you may see a popup with an Add button you can tap to add your pass to Wallet.

Have a great day!
