10.13 won't install updates

I currently have a 2010 27 inch iMac running 10.13 High Sierra. Since 10.13 came out it won't update for any patches that are released via software update. I tried tonight to download the 10.13.6 combo update and install it but it still failed to install correctly saying some items failed to install. the about this Mac window is still showing 10.13

As it is a 2010 model I can't install mojave. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to update versions as this has been ongoing since I installed High Sierra.

Thanks in advance
