Can i trade in my phone for credit without a good carrier?

so i have tracfone as a carrier and i’m trying to get a new phone under verizon with the 2 year plan with 45 dollars per month for the IPhone X Max and i have a 6S right now and i was wondering if apple would still take me phone in exchange for some credit or something
