Apple wach in hot yoga?

I currently have the Apple watch Series 3. I read on a forum here that this watch should not be used in hot yoga because of the elevated humidity. Is this correct?

Also, if it is true that series 3 cannot be used in hot yoga, is series 4 useable in hot yoga?

Thank you.

At a practical level both series of watch have the same acceptable operations range, and unless you plan on yoga in a sauna the watch probably is probably comfortable in a wider range than you are. The key points would be ambient temperature, and water resistance - where the watch is approved for swimming with much more water than you would find from even 100% humidity.

The only potentially damaging factor might be the impact of perspiration on the watch band, particularly the leather ones. Choose a suitable band and clean your watch as recommended by Apple, Cleaning your Apple Watch - Apple Support
