Power and volume button issues

I woke up this morning, and I noticed that when I’d hit the button to lock my phone the square that comes up when you adjust the volume would pop up, and if I switched my phone onto silent, the lock screen button wouldn’t work at all, and I couldn’t adjust music volume with the volume buttons. There were a couple of times it didn’t do it, but for the most part it’s done this all day
