Try this: Open the Screentime statistics page for your child and look at the list of apps used. Select the app you want to limit. The screen will show info about that app. Scroll down and you will see “add limit”. Select, and you can add a limit for that app.
While this has worked for me, I’ve had numerous problems with Screentime not doing what it should be doing. Right now I can’t set any filters, so my child can listen to any profanity today’s “artists” choose to write. I wish Apple would bring back Restrictions and make Screentime a separate feature. It’s wasting countless hours of my time.
I just bought 3 iPads for my kids. Assuming that Apple had their screen time under control, going by Apple's reputation for well written software. What a disappointment! The one application I want to limit, YouTube, cannot be limited in usage time. I searched the web and others have confirmed that NONE of the Google applications will properly limit under screen time rules. x Same for applications like Fortnite. Apple, please make fixing screen time a high priority. This is terrible.
This is exceptionally disappointing. Screen time is absolutely useless for the most popular game right now.
