You will likely need to contact your cellular carrier for a suitable SIM. In general, phone-SIMs are incompatible with iPads; you will require a data-only SIM.
Your carrier usually requires you to have separate cellular plans for your phone (iPhone?) and your iPad. To get arround the requirement for two cellular plans, many people simply use cellular tethering (using your phone’s hotspot feature - if it has one and your cellular plan permits it) to provide mobile data coverage for their iPad - effectively sharing your monthly cellular data allowance.
