Why am I having problems loading Fox News?

I am an avid new reader and have been having problems loading Fox News and only Fox News. No issues with CNN, The Hill, NBC, USA Today etc. but, when I try to load Fox News it won’t load. This seems to have been a problem since I updated to Mojave. I have downloaded the last two updates and that has not fixed the problem. Is there a setting off. If I want to see Fox News I have to restart my system. Fox will come up once and then not load from that point on. I thought I would try putting it in my favorites to see if that would help, it did not. Tried the suggestions from this help website, those suggestions did nothing. It seems Odd that I can reach fox through my windows computer and my cell phone but not on my laptop. Please advise how to correct this issue as I am actually taking this personally. Beginning to seem like censorship from a company I trusted enough to shell out $$$$ for equipment and support.

MacBook Air, macOS Mojave (10.14.1)

Try going to Safari/Preferences/Privacy/Manage Website Data and delete the Fox News cookie. Quit, reopen Safari and test.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

Katie,

Fox news abhors Ad blockers, and will alter their site behavior until you white-list (allow) their site to be ignored by the Ad blocker. They are motivated because there is considerable click bait beneath the landing page that generates ad revenue to them. This is why I have moved over to reuters dot com.

Though it may change, I have found that the Ad and Stuff Blocker (free, ****) in the Mac App Store appears to fly under Fox News radar when detecting ad blockers. You double-click this installed application, and it further installs its Safari Extension, but does not activate it. You enable it through Safari : Preferences : Extensions. You will probably need to deactivate this Ad blocker, quit, and restart Safari before posting in this support community (as was my experience).

Also, if you do not regularly clear your browser history and cache, this may also interfere with the loading of the Fox News site. You must enable the Safari Developer menu (Safari Preferences : Advanced) so you can empty (option+command+E) the Safari browser cache with a keystroke.
