Apple Maps, how to keep the display off ?

Hi all,

I own an iPhone 7 paired with Apple Watch. Both when I use Maps on my motorbike and in the car I really want my iPhone Maps to keep the display off ! I can in fact follow the instructions on my Watch....but iPhone wakes up the screen at every istruction. There are two big drawback with that:

1) unnecessary battery drain

2) when in the pocket (I drive a motorbike) it does a mess !!!

Any thoughts ?
