Build-in Camera stopped working

I have a Macbook Pro (late 2013) and the build-in camera recently stopped working. When I open Facetime, Skype or any other camera using app, the screen stays black and the green camera is blinking. I was on macOS High Sierra.

I tried already the following:

1) I rebooted.

2) I tried a different user.

3) sudo killall AppleCameraAssistant; sudo killall VDCAssistant

4) Upgraded to macOS Mojave 10.14.1

5) Compared /System/Library/QuickTime folder with different Macbook Pro where iSight camera is working. Both folders do not have the file quicktimeusbvdcdigitizer.component, which seemed to be the issue on other posts.

6) Reset the SMC (System Management Controller) by rebooting and holding shift+control+option+power button.

None of the above solved the problem.

I'd appreciate any new ideas. Thanks!

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), macOS Mojave (10.14.1), null
