Booklet Printing

Hi everyone

I have recently moved over from Windows to Mac so fairly new to the system for work purposes.

I print a lot of reports from our back office system which are usually all created as PDF. I always use the booklet format as these reports are client facing.

However, I have noticed when I try and print in a booklet format from the iMac via Preview the end result always has every other page printed upside down (print on long edge).

How do I change the settings to print on short edge using the booklet option?

I probably print around 30 reports a month and need this to work without having to load up my personal laptop which does run on Windows and would allow me to do this, but that defeats the object of me moving to iMac.

iMac, macOS Mojave (10.14.1)

Hi Eric

Just got in to the office and tried the other way but this is just giving me the option to save the pdf in the standard format which is fine (a4 single page)

It’s the printed outcome I need to be in booklet.

I’ve just done this to show you how it’s printing and on the second photo you can see one page is the right way up and the other isn’t. However I’ve also just noticed it’s not even printing in the right order!

The page that’s upside down in the second photo should be on the back of the front cover!

Hi Eric

Thanks for this.

This is where I’ve been going and doing just as you said however the booklet option under layout doesn’t work as by selecting this, it prints one page the right way and the other upside down and then the right away again.

There is no other option under booklet that allows me to select which edge to print on.
