apple tv - purchased movies still blank

Share App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Books purchases with Family Sharing - Apple Support

You need to be using the same account settings (Apple ID) for Family Sharing and the Apple TV accounts.

If you were expecting to see purchases from the other group members:

On your Apple TV

1. On your Apple TV, select Movies, TV Shows, or App Store.
2. Select Purchased﹥Family Sharing, then select your family member to see their content. You can access shared movies, TV shows, and apps on Apple TV, but not music.

I too have this problem,Family Sharing shows up under TV shows in the purchased section and works fine,but under Movies it is just blank.

This is not a problem at our end this started after the recent update.

I'm having exactly the same issue with my Parents AppleTV who are unable to see either their Movie Purchases or Family Share but okay with TV Shows.

I shared with the community last week but no such luck so pinged Apple Support yesterday and waiting to hear back.
If I hear anything before you do I'll let you know

I received an email response from AppleTV iTunes Support which loosely advised they couldn't advise and to contact their Support Team for a call to chat through issue towards fixing.

Did you have any luck with Technical Support as I had no luck with my initial email enquiry so now need to book a call with Tech Support towards resolving ?

Seems to be an issue effecting many people following the recent update based upon posts in the Community

Same problem. can see family sharing in apps, music and tv shows but for movies it’s just blank. Any updates?

It’s a known problem and they are fixing it. Had a helpful support person tell me to add a free movie to the account to reset/download the index. A sample free movie is called Ellis.
