CarPlay Podcast App Broken

Ever since I "upgraded" to iOS 12, my CarPlay has had issues with the Podcast App.

They only work together for the first few minutes, then the CarPlay screen stops responding to input. Finally, the screen goes blank, as per the attached photo.

Are there any fixes, planned or otherwise?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 12.0.1, Chevy Tahoe / CarPlay

iOS 16.5 broke wired CarPlay Podcasts Ironically, the release notes state that ios16.5 fixes issues that some people suffered using Podcasts via CarPlay on 14.6.1. I had no problem using PC before upgrading, but since moving to 16.5 earlier today Podcasts doesn’t launch when using CarPlay (or launches but immediately crashes). PC works fine on my phone (13Pro), and everything else appears to work in CarPlay. I upgraded to 14.5 for the security fixes, but may revert back to 14.6.1 so that PC works again for me.

carplay stuttering Ever since the 11.3 update I have had problems with CarPlay. It stutters during playback of Apple Music or podcasts and then gives me error of no connection. Sometimes it restarts. Ive troubleshooted everything. New cable, reset of iPhone 6s and latest updates, head unit reboots and resets, auto manufacturer head unit replacement and software updates (Honda) and everything else. There are tons of people online complaining about the same issue, no matter the car or iPhone model and although nothing acknowledged by Apple, has to be a software issue with CarPlay. I was ready to buy a new iPhone, but may not until this is fixed. Lets hear your problems and solutions if any and get any and get the bill rolling for Apple to acknowledge and address this.

Kenwood car stereo : CarPlay worked in the past, no longer working I have been using Apply CarPlay with my iPhone 12 max pro for a few years now, everything seemed to be working fine. If I just plugged in the phone and did nothing, generally the speakers would flip from using my headset to using the car speakers and whatever app I was using would display on the car screen (spotify, podcast, etc). Within the last month, however, it is no longer working correctly : i plug the iPhone into the USB and the "Apple CarPlay" icon appears I click on the CarPlay icon and the screen on the Kenwood display goes black The iPhone screen indicates that the phone is charging, sound from the iPhone continues to play over my headset instead of on the car speakers Is anybody aware of anything that has happened over the past few weeks (new updates???) that might have hosed up the phone's ability to connect???

Hi Kurt,
I was able to resolve a similar issue by deleting my car from carplay

What I did on my iPhone

Settings

General

Carplay

My Car (select your car)

Forget this car

Reconnect to your car

I hope that this works for you too

Upgraded to 12.1, and I am still having these issues.
