notification on mac won't go away

I just upgraded to Mojave. I received a phone call on my iPhone and a notification popped up in the upper right hand corner of my screen. No matter what I do, the notification of the call coming in won't go away. How do I get rid of it? All the issues about persistent notifications seem to be in iPhone discussions, not Mac support discussions.

It's not clear to me whether you want to disable Notifications for all iPhone calls, of if that particular Notification appears even when a phone call isn't active, persists, and simply won't go away no matter what.

Assuming it's the latter, try restarting your Mac in "Safe Mode" (click the link below). Determine if the problematic Notification persists while operating in that mode.

Then, restart your Mac normally and repeat your observations.

I don't wish to disable notifications for all iPhone calls. In fact, when I bring up notifications, there are a list of apps for which I am supposed to get notifications, but nothing for iPhone. All I'm trying to do is get rid of a notification that should have disappeared once I clicked on "decline" or "accept," but did not, and continues to display on my monitor no matter what I do about it.

So I will try a restart and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks.
