No new pictures or videos were found on this device. Windows 7
Tip credit goes to ToddAndMagro and Jason in Oregon for a great fix.

Here is an interesting one I just came across: a customer got an update to her iPhone (11.1) and whenever she plugged her iPhone into Windows 7 Pro Sp1, it would tell her "No new pictures or videos were found on this device".
She spent six hours with Apple trying to fix it. So she called me. As it transpires, the iPhone does not respond fast enough for Windows. The workaround is turn autoplay off.
Open AutoPlay by clicking the START button, and typing AutoPlay. Or go to the Control Panel. Click Hardware and Sound, and then AutoPlay.
Find your iPhone in Devices at the bottom of the list. Set to "Ask me every time".
Alternatively, open Windows Explorer, Right-Click on your iPhone, and Choose "Import Pictures and Videos".
