how to change sheet tab color in Numbers

Imported Microsoft Excel 2011 for Mac into Numbers version 5.3 and the sheet tab color are all white.

I would like to change the colors for certain tabs.

MacBook Pro, macOS Mojave (10.14.1)

Numbers - Reset to Default Colour Palette I have a series of matching spreadsheets, but one of them has a muted palette of colours compared to the rest. I'd like it to match the brighter colour palette on the rest of the spreadsheets, which is also the default colour palette I get when I create a new document. I'm not sure why this one spreadsheet has muted colours - I've never intentionally changed to custom colours - but I wonder if it might have been caused by combining it with an Excel spreadsheet at some point in its history - perhaps the colours are default in Excel? Or perhaps it's related to an older version of Numbers and a software update. I think it is an older spreadsheet than the others. Everything appears to match in terms of settings, except for the actual colours. I can see the colours are definitely different because they have different HEX numbers etc when I look in the Colour Fill dialogue. In my spreadsheets, individual cells are coloured in a complex system denoting different stages in tasks, so I can't easily start again in a new document. Also, if I copy and paste the muted spreadsheet content into a new document, I find it also copies the muted colour palette. How do I make the muted colour palette match the brighter default colour palette? Is there a preference somewhere that I can just reset? Images attached below. Any ideas appreciated!

Alternating color rows - not working for first column Why does the alternating colour row feature work for the whole spreadsheet EXCEPT the first column?? The entire first column, all the way down, remains white. Why is this? Is there a straightforward way to do this, or a workaround, or can it simply not be done in Mac Numbers? I'm using the desktop version of Numbers 11.1.

color wheel / palette in Apple Numbers When changing the color of text in a Numbers Spreadsheet, when I click on "Text Color" in the Format/text tab, for years I have always seen this selection of colors appear in a color palette: After some software version update recently, the colors have changed to this dreadful selection of dull colors: About half my spreadsheets have the first set of color selections and the other half have the 2nd set of color selections. Why is this? And how can I get the first set of color selections (above) to appear on all of my spreadsheets? NOTE: I understand that I can click on the color wheel which will pop up a separate window that I then need to look for somewhere on my displays and select a color from that window, etc., ... but I don't want to go through 2 or three extra clicks every time I want to select a text color. I want to keep the original selection of colors, as show in the first color selection above. ALSO: Can someone please delete old questions and answers, from years gone by, such as the one this link points to (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1404240) since they just clutter up search results with irrelevant, out-dated information.
