Bad performance on new Mac Mini (2018)

When you say "weird sample rate warnings" Do you see messages like this?

(Sample rate may differ... The real issue being is ---- Do you see irregular sample rates that don't make sense in terms of audio? E.G 44.1, 48k, 88.2, 96k etc...)

Might be a good idea checking on the UA Forum, I know a few people have got the Mac mini with the same OS & Logic as you, they may be able to help more.

I agree, I think its either a Logic 10.4.2 issue or Mojave, or both.

I cant see it being a new Mac Mini problem.

I hope you get it sorted asap, You may have to wait for an update from Logic or Mojave, if the Logic update comes first and all becomes stable, then I personally wouldnt update my OS any more.

You should have automatic updates tuenrd off anyway.

Try setting your computer to Sleep NEVER.

This may fix your problem, this is how it should be set anyway.

For what its worth, you are not the only one with this problem, from what I have read.

2.Which Logic version?

And, which OS and Logic version did you use on your old computer?

The most obvious thing is running Logic (or any DAW) with 8G RAM. That limits you to pretty simple projects.

I run Logic on a 2009 dual core MacBook Pro with 4 Gb RAM no problems.

Also on a MAcbook Air with 8gb RAm, 50 tracks with plug ins etc, fine too!

Is alchemy set to 100% view size? If not, then give that a try... 🙂
