file sync

Hello, I'm stuck and can't figure it out.

I'm trying to find out if and when I add a file to my iphone and sync it. Is there a way that I can delete the file from my computer and still keep it on my iphone or does it get removed everytime I sync together again.

Help is greatly appreciated in advanced.

Files on iPhone — how do I get them onto my Mac??? I am on a iMac synced to my iPhone (both just updated). How do I move the files that are in the Files app (on my iPhone) to my Mac (I don't care where on my mac, just anywhere on the actual computer so I can actually use them!) They are connected now by a USB cable but I still don't see any way to make this connection.
