How to use NTFS on a MAC

Hi,

My external drive is in ExFat but only has an NTFS partition. Is there any way for me to reformat my drive without losing all my data or a large chunk of change. Its refusing to mount but shows up on disk utility. Any help appreciated

Macs can read, but not write (natively) to an NTFS partition. One option is to use a third-party app that allow your Mac to do both.

There is no direct way to change the format type without erasing the drive. If you want to go this route, you would first need to copy the data from this drive to another one, and then, reformat the drive for HFS+ or ExFAT as you deem required.
