Edit playlist in Itunes

Is there anyway to stop ITunes from playing a certain Genre of music, if I give an example.

During the summer I don't want to play Christmas music but they arena my library.

During winter I don't want to listen to summer songs.

Is there any way of doing it ?

Boogie,

One way is to make a Smart Playlist with the rules you want, e.g. "Genre is not Holiday,"and use that playlist during the appropriate time of year. See example below.
