Full-screen view -- how to switch back to main monitor

I'm sure I'm missing something very obvious here... but somehow I accidentally switched which screen the full-screen view is on (I think by hitting option-s while in full-screen?) - and now I cannot get it back to my external monitor from my small laptop screen.

I've tried switching settings in Viewer Mode, Toggle Primary, view options, etc. -- and notghint will get it back to the large monitor...

Help!!

Thanks

Sorry, I probably wasn't clear. I can enter & exit Fullscreen mode without a problem. The problem is that the fullscreen image is now displayed on my laptop screen, whereas it used to be on my large external monitor. I'm trying to get it back to display on the external monitor.
I was in fullscreen mode when it switched -- I believe I had pressed option-s or command-s, and it switched -- but won't switch back...
Ideas?

Unfortunately that doesn't do it either. Setting the laptop screen to mirror does display the selected photo in the browser full screen on the laptop -- but there is still no way to see a photo fullscreen on the main (external) monitor.
The display settings are (and were, before it mysteriously switched):
Main: Multi
Secondary: Desktop

Everything is fine on both monitors when browsing, etc. -- it's just that the full-screen mode goes to the wrong monitor...

Sorry, I really wasn't understanding your problem. In normal use the fullscreen will appear on the monitor that has the menu bar and the dock. Have you moved those to your external monitor?

Try monitor preferences and see if you can relocate the menu-bar and dock a get things working the way you want.

What you are describing sounds like a feature enhancement that other users have requested. Somehow you have done this without knowing how you got there.

Thanks for getting back. It's not the system monitor prefs either -- the menu bar has always been on the external monitor. (Just to make sure, I did switch the menu bar back & forth in system prefs, just to see if it fixed it -- it didn't) Literally, nothing changed in aperture or in my system --- fullscreen has always been on the external monitor for months -- then while viewing in full-screen, the fullscreen image suddenly popped over to the laptop screen. Now fullscreen images only show on the laptop. It's quite frustrating -- I think I might have stumbled on a bug.
