disable everything but photo in camera

Hey all,

is there any way to prevent the camera app (iPhone Xr ,latest update) from changing from photo to video, square, panorama etc? I frequently use the camera to take pictures of machinery to troubleshoot problems, generally in areas of limited access and continually end up changing plain old photo to one of the other settings as any slight brush of the screen changes the mode.

This is a major pain when I really want only a photo.

How can I disable some camera features to simplify the interface I've reached the end of my patience with the iOS native camera app. They've crammed so many features I never use into the interface at this point that I've given up any hope of capturing a spontaneous photo. 95% of the time when I fumble around to try and take a picture, I wind up in pano mode, or taking a 'live' burst, or pretty much anything besides the simple static photo I'd intended to take. I'm no techno-phobe - quite the opposite actually. I'm just not into pursuing serious photography with my phone. Is there a setting somewhere that I've been missing that'll turn off some of that stuff? It's not like Apple to clutter up an interface for the benefit of what I assumed was a small segment of users...maybe there's more people excited about 'pano' & 'burst' than I thought.

Photo access always on Lock Screen iPhone 13 When iPhone is on the Lock Screen there is a shortcut to the camera that can only be disabled by disabling the camera entirely on the phone. When anyone picks up an iPhone they can use that shortcut to open all of the photos saved on the phone. I guess my question is, why isn’t there an option to disable camera/photo access from the Lock Screen like there was on older iOS? Is there another way?

I want to keep my phone on camera mode when I put phone down and pick it up again it changes to a different mode is there a way to keep it one photo mode so won't slide to different mode drives me crazy I want to lock the camera mode
