Error with apple ID iTunes sign in

I have the iPhone 8 plus I did a reset and going through the steps to reactivate it I get error message couldn't sign in peration couldn't be completed. SSServerErrorDomain error 5001

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.
